According to Kingsley Abasili, who shares a striking resemblance with Pete Edochie, he was approached to falsely name the ace actor as his biological father in order to become popular and made headway in the movie industry.

The actor went on to say the pressure came from some media houses, whom he accused of giving him the condition as his pathway to becoming famous and making more money in his chosen career.

He, however, asserted that he rejected the offer out of his love and respect for Pete Edochie, who he sees as a father figure.

Abasili wrote: “For those coming to my inbox to mock me, I’m not popular because I refused to be. Media houses approached me, asking me to declare Pete Edochie my biological father but I refused.

“That was the condition I was given to become famous but I see no reason to do such.

“Being popular is not my business so stop bothering me about it. I love and respect Daddy #peteedochie a lot. He’s like a father to me. ”

Also reacting to a now-viral post comparing him to Pete Edochie’s biological children, the budding actor wondered why netizens have refused to let him be.

“Someone just sent this to me. Why can’t they just leave us alone???” he added
