Niger State Police Command at the command headquarters, Dutsen Kura-Gwari, Minna, paraded 12 suspects arrested in parts of the state including one, Abubarkar Suleiman, who specialized on fake currencies.
Suleiman, according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abigail Unaeze, was arrested in Chanchaga after complaint about his complicity in trying to kidnap the complainant’s father in-law, Abdullahi Baba Sambo, under the pretext of taking the old man to a place in Kogi State ‘to cure his illness’.
In the process, Abubarkar Suleiman was arrested and while searching his house a box containing 88 bundles of fake dollars was found.
Also arrested were suspects involved in house breaking and robbery at Bosso village and around Western by-pass, Nnamdi Azikiwe Way Minna, who carted away laptops, Infinix 507 handset, bunch of keys, plasma TV and laptop, which they sold to one, Sirajo Mohammed.
Meanwhile, the Police have solicited for the cooperation and support of all Nigerlites in dealing with criminals because the fight against criminals should be collective responsibility of all.
