Nasarawa State chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Francis Orogu, has lamented that then national leadership of the party frustrated the bid by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura in 2014.
The state PDP chairman was optimistic that with PDP then forming the overwhelming majority in the legislative arm of government of 20 members against 4 of the APC during the period under review, Governor Al-Makura would have been successfully impeached.
Orogu, who served as a member of the state house of assembly for Keana constituency during the fourth assembly made the statement when he received in audience the campaign team of an aspirant for the national chairmanship of the party, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, at the state party secretariat in Lafia.
