How NFF wasted $21,000 on a ‘psychologist’ for Falcons

Unconfirmed reports have it that the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) paid a whooping sum of $21,000 to a psychologist, named Kaisa Mouto to help prepare the Super Falcons for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

 

Super-Falcons-celebrateA breakdown of the amount saw the lady who was brought in from the United State of America (USA) to have allegedly been paid $7000 per month.

In addition to that, the lady was also alleged to have been paid all the match bonuses and camp allowances just like the rest of the team.

 

We gathered that the situation led to serious grumbling by some of the officials and technical crew who felt so bad seeing the lady receiving so much than them and doing very little in the team.

 

Some of the players who spoke on condition of anonymity said the lady psychologist did not in any way help the team with her talk.

They maintained that it would have been more beneficial if the money spent on her was used to hire a short time foreign technical assistant to have worked with the team the three months the lady psychologist worked with them.

 

It was gathered that the lady went into a spending spree in Canada saying ‘money is meant to be spent’. And at a time she even stopped eating with the rest of the team, buying her own food.

 

You may want to recall that the Nigeria Super Falcons crashed of the FIFA Women World Cup in Canada in the very first round.

 

The team held Sweden to a 3-3 draw, lost 2-0 to Australia and 1-0 to USA to crash out in the first round.
