According to Metro, the Chelsea legend said so while speaking about the outcome of the penalty kicks which decided who took the first domestic silverware of the season in the Premier League home.

Kepa missed the decisive spot-kick in their 10-11 penalty loss to rivals Liverpool in the Carabao Cup finals on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel restored Edouard Mendy to his starting XI in the match, even though Kepa kept all through the qualifying stages and was brilliant throughout the tournament

Kepa was, however, controversially introduced as a late substitute for Mendy ahead of the penalty shootout, but was unable to save any of Liverpool’s 11 penalties, and missed the decisive penalty kick.

Hasselbaink while analysing the match, said Kepa was brought in because he is a good penalty stopper, but added that he is not as good when it comes to scoring penalties.

He also jokingly mocked the goalkeeper saying he was confused and didn’t know if he was to take a free-kick or a penalty.

“He was confused with taking a goal kick and a penalty.

“It was a good goal kick, though.

“Taking a penalty is not one of his strongest points. Tuchel made the decision to bring him in for penalties because he thinks he is better at saving penalties.

“I wouldn’t have advised him to take it with his laces,” Hasselbaink said
