Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has challenged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to make public the forensic reports on alleged Dollar video clip involving his predecessor and National Chairman of
All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje.

He made the call, in a statement issued and made available to pressmen by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Sunday.

According to him, Ganduje went about speaking about non-existent failures of his administration, instead of facing the nemesis of corruption hanging over his neck.

Gov Yusuf also insisted that the release of the forensic report on the Dollar saga  will finally silence Ganduje.

He went on to state that his 8 months in office far outways Ganduje’s eight-year tenure, which he said represents failure and maladministration.

Speaking via the statement, Gov Yusuf said: “Our eight months in office has remarkably outweighed Ganduje’s eight wasted years of political caricature and maladministration by all standards.”

He advised Ganduje to rather buckle up in defence of his already battered image at the court, instead of further exposing his impunity on the media space.

He alleged that Ganduje’s penchant for corruption had brought shame and disgrace to the good people of Kano, insisting that no amount of media campaign would hinder the process of bringing him (Ganduje) to book on the glaring cases of corruption filed against him.

The statement further regretted that Ganduje could yet shamelessly muster the courage to defend himself in the media, despite the embarrassing video clip where he was caught, red-handed, stocking his large agbada pockets with dollars.

“We wish to reaffirm the present administration’s resolve and readiness to make anyone found guilty of corruption to face the full wrath of the law for their intentional wrongdoings,” the statement added.

The Kano government emphasized that it would leave no stone unturned to pursue the dollar video scandal to a logical conclusion.

It requested the release of the forensic investigation conducted by the EFCC on the “Gandollar saga” in 2018, for public consumption.
