Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Tuesday hosted seven Super Falcons players from his state after their enviable feat.
This was disclosed in a statement shared on the governor’s official Facebook page.

The Super Falcons won their 10th trophy on Sunday at the 2024 edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Nigeria triumphed over Morocco with a 3-2 scoreline in the final of the tournament.
Some notable players received individual awards for their outstanding performances.
The team was celebrated upon their return to Nigeria, with President Bola Tinubu hosting them at the Presidential Villa after their victory parade.
Following in the footsteps of the president, Gov Uzodinma also hosted Super Falcons players from Imo State.
Those received by the governor, are Chiamaka Nnadozie, Jennifer Echegini, Osinachi Ohale, Oluchi Oluehi, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Anna Imo.
The seventh player, Michelle Alozie was absent, as she had returned to her base in the United States.
Sharing photos from the reception on social media, Uzodimma praised the team’s composure, resilience, and unity, describing their performance as “unmatched.”
The governor also expressed pride in the players from Imo, calling their display a true testament to the spirit and potential of the state.
He wrote, “The steeze and composure displayed by the Super Falcons were unmatched. Even in moments when the nation was filled with apprehension, they stood firm.
“Hosting the team at the Imo State Governor’s lodge was a moment of profound joy. It was particularly moving to witness the outstanding contributions of Imo State daughters, whose talent and dedication were in full display.”
