God is my witness Aw-Hey

All along I have this matter pursued,
Like a naïve and lowly foolish person.

So that your worldly wisdom and cunningness,
May whetstone the dullness of my foolishness.
“For the children of this world are,
Wiser than children of Light,” the Bible says.

Unduly patient, humble and even docile,
That your manipulative dexterity so evil,
Into full action may be vainly set.
On appeal and explanations have I relied,
Rather than on condemnation and threat.
Deep pains of affliction have I suppressed,
A veil of innocent amity have I worn.
Yet ‘am deeply wounded and it’s fresh,
Soothed only by wonderment at this drama.
You rely on logic and not moral truth.
And so my own wisdom begins:
God is my witness, I declare.
