​A delegation led by the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, recently paid a courtesy visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja.

​Video footage of the meeting between the former Kano State governor and the ex-Nigerian president subsequently circulated across various social media platforms on Wednesday.

​Although specific details of the discussion were not disclosed in the trending clip, the meeting comes amid political manoeuvres by various parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.

​Earlier, Jonathan expressed confidence in APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa East senatorial district ahead of the 2027 polls.

​He gave the vote of confidence at his residence in Yenagoa when a delegation led by former Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (retd.), visited him.

​The delegation included the Managing Director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku, and Bayelsa APC Chairman, Warman Weri Ogoriba. The visit was arranged to introduce the APC candidates to Jonathan as a prominent leader from Bayelsa East.
