Former Kano State governor and the
immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied reports that he’s dumping the ruling party for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying they are “fake news”.
He made this known on Saturday through his spokesman, Edwin Olofu.
On June 27, Ganduje vacated his seat as the National Chairman of the ruling APC, citing health issues.
He was later inaugurated as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

However, barely two months after he resigned as APC chairman, there are reports that the ex-governor and his supporters are planning to join ADC.
Reacting to the rumours at a press briefing, Ganduje’s spokesman, Olofu, clarified that his principal remains loyal to President Bola Tinubu.
He also assured members of APC that the Kano-born politician is not planning to abandon the party.
He said, “Ganduje is a committed member of the APC who is not just a loyal party man but also loyal to the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
“So, ignore those saying he is planning to leave the APC. It is just fake news.”
