“It is not service to the elite but to the poor and low-income earners. Those are the people we want to stand with and we are standing with them from today.”

The governor’s assurance comes amid the continued rift between him and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who is his predecessor and political godfather.

Meanwhile, Governor Fubara seized the opportunity presented by the flag-off of the construction of 20,000 Housing units to launch his own live band.

The band which came alive shortly after the governor’s speech was heard singing, “Dey your day make I dey my dey, nobody worry nobody, ” to the excitement of the crowd.

Prior to this, live band was commonly associated with the FCT Minister.
