Frank Mba returns as Force spokesman

Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has reappointed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Frank Mba, as the new Force Public Relations Officer.

His appointment was announced on Wednesday, and Mba had already proceeded to Abuja to take over from Jimoh Moshood, the deputy commissioner of police who served under retired IGP Ibrahim Idris.

This is the second time Mba will be serving in that capacity as FPPRO, having done so between February 2012 and August 2014  during the tenure of MD Abubakar as IGP.

Generally believed to be an intelligent and disciplined officer, Mba had also served as the Area Commander Area E in Festac, Area Commander Area ‘J’ in Ajah and ACP State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, in Panti, Yaba among other responsibilities.

He once served as the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command from 2007 to 2011.

He studied law at the University of Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2002.

An indigene of Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Mba was the Best Graduating Cadet Inspector in Academics at the Police Academy, Wudil Kano, in 1993.

Speaking with TheNiche on his new job specification, Mba promised to do his best and solicited the support of the public to do his work satisfactorily.
