As the countdown for the much anticipated FIBA Africa Zone 3, 3×3 Tour billed for June 18th -21st , 2015 at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos continues, FIBA will be sending a specialist on the discipline of 3×3 to run the Tour .
The expert will among other things also organize a Clinic/Seminar for all stakeholders.
Information reaching the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Secretariat has it that Richard Sikabi will be arriving Nigeria for the event with his assistant, Kaudio Kevin on Wednesday, June 17.
Sikabi and Kevin will take coaches and other stakeholders through the technicalities of 3×3 to enable participants have first-hand information about the dynamics of the game.
In a chat with the Zone secretariat, Sikabi hailed the FIBA Africa Zone 3 executive board for its foresight in hosting the event.
He said: “I am glad to be a part of promoting FIBA’s new basketball initiative which will ensure that National Federations get a grip of all that 3 x 3 entails. Participants will have the opportunity of teaching the discipline in their countries.
The event which is powered by the AMK Foundation will see athletes competing in Under-18 Boys, Under-18 Girls, Senior Men, Senior Women and Mixed Categories.
