At a book launch, Chronicles of the Rainbow, the post-humous autobiography of late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, the mobile phone belonging to former Vice-President of Nigeria, Namadi Sambo, disappeared despite the tight security at the venue.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, are among the dignitaries that attended the book launch held at the NAF Conference Centre in Kado, Abuja.
Security at the venue was extremely tight. But despite the tight security, Sambo’s mobile phone was reportedly stolen, according to a former Senator who represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani.

The late Solomon Lar was the founding Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was elected governor of Plateau State on the Nigerian People’s Party (NPP) platform during the Nigerian Second Republic, holding office from October 1979 until the Military coup of December 31, 1983, by Muhammadu Buhari.
Solomon Lar died on October 9, 2013, at the age of 80.
