Turkish pundit and former referee Ahmet Çakar has argued that Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen would be the top scorer in the English Premier League (EPL) if he donned the jersey of a club in the league.
He made the assertion while speaking about the 27-year-old’s display against Barcelona in the Champions League in mid-week on the Libero TV YouTube channel.
According to Çakar, the Nigerian international is good enough to break into any team in the world.

Despite this, the former referee admitted that Osimhen didn’t display such prowess during Galatasaray’s 4-1 home loss to Barcelona.
“Osimhen, you know, he could play for any team in the world, he’d be the top scorer in the Premier League,” he said.
Çakar added, “I didn’t see anything like that in this match [Galatasaray vs Barcelona]. I admit, he has just recovered from injury, but what kind of performance did the team give him that he should play like that?”
Osimhen will hope to lead Galatasaray to victory when they face Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Süper Lig on Saturday afternoon.
