Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, the husband of former Nigerian Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, has passed away.
His death was announced on Thursday in a statement issued on behalf of the family by Rev. C. A. Adeosun.
According to the statement, the husband of the former minister passed away on Wednesday, 5 August 2026 at the age of 62 in Lagos.
It further noted that the deceased is survived by his wife, children, and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.

The family added that the Christian burial arrangements for the deceased will be communicated in due course.
The statement read, “Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the assurance of God’s Word: “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
”The family requests privacy during this difficult period as we grieve our irreplaceable loss. Details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.”
It added, “We thank all who have reached out with prayers, condolences, and support.”
