Eid-El-Kabir: Police assure adequate security in Delta

The police command in Delta on Friday said it had put all machinery in place to ensure adequate security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.

The police assurance is contained in a statement issued in Asaba by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu.

 

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that the Federal Government had declared Monday, Oct. 6 and Tuesday, Oct. 7 as public holidays to mark the Muslim festival of Eid-el-Kabir.

The statement quoted Kalu as assuring the public that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure peaceful celebration.

 

 

He wished Muslims in the state a happy celebration.

 

 

He, however, appealed to the public to report any suspicious movement and criminal elements to the police.

 

 

He warned criminals in the state to repent, stressing that the command would not spare effort in ensuring that all miscreants were brought to justice. NAN
