Apparently, the songwriter will be spending less on the surgery, after reports making the rounds suggested Yetunde, his wife, will be his kidney donor.

Though the singer’s team didn’t disclose the family member who will be donating the organ when intimating his fans about his current state of health on social media, a source close to the family claimed the wife opted to be the donor.

“The wife is donating her kidney for him. All that is left now is to get the money needed for the surgery,” the source said.

Although the GoFundMe account was created to raise the sum of £48,000, only £4,269 has been realised after the surgery according to his team will take place on Wednesday, July 27.
