The coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, has given the players a May 26th deadline to report to camp ahead of the May 28th friendly against Scotland.

The coach also revealed that the delay in the release of the team list was caused by the need to ascertain the fitness level of some players.He insisted that there was no need calling up players who won’t be available at the end of the day.

The biggest surprises on the provisional squad are Parma midfielder Joel Obi and Belgium-based Gabriel Reuben, who have both been troubled by injuries.

Nigeria will face Iran, Bosnia and Argentina in their fifth World Cup appearance.
