Nigerian disc jockey and music producer, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has said she is aspiring to become a backup singer to popular Afrobeats singer, Ahmed Ololade, aka Asake.
The daughter of billionaire business magnate, Femi Otedola, made this known on her Instagram page on Sunday, when she spoke about her desire to pursue a new career.
DJ Cuppy in the now-viral post, solicited the help of her fans and other netizens in accomplishing her dream of becoming a backup singer to the YBNL artist.

She wrote, “Plix can someone tell me how I can become one of the backup singers for @asakemusic ?”
DJ Cuppy, who recently gave a huge sum of money to her alma mater, Oxford University, UK after completing her masters degree, has an album and a dozen singles to her credit.
The famous disc jockey is also known for collaborating with established singers in her musical projects.
In 2022, she hosted the Sunday version of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s breakfast show with the Saturday one hosted by Swarzy formerly of Kiss Radio.
They both replaced Remi Burgz, who went on to replace Yasmin Evans on 1Xtra’s weekday lunchtime show.
