Dele Momodu mourns Femi Osibona, calls him a dear friend

Dele Momodu, the renowned journalist, pays tribute to Femi Osibona, whose body was recovered from his collapsed building in Ikoyi

Popular journalist and politician, Dele Momodu, has paid a short tribute to Femi Osibona, the owner of Fourscore Homes, who died when his building collapsed in Ikoyi recently.

The 21-story building situated in Ikoyi, Lagos, was still under construction, when it collapsed on Monday,  November 1, 2021, and trapped so many Nigerians who were working in the building.

Reports from various sources later revealed Femi Osibona, an aide to Vice President Yemi Osibajo, and others who were trapped under the collapsed building died, though some survived with varying degrees of injury.

Osibona’s company, Fourscore Homes, was said to be in charge of the construction of the building.

After days of continuous search, his body was eventually recovered on Thursday, November 4, from the rubble of the collapsed 21-story building.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident via his  Instagram page, Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, who described the late Osibona as a dear friend said:

“Good night my very dear friend and Brother FEMI FOURSCORE OSIBONA… RIP.”

In a separate Instagram post, the former presidential candidate, Dele Momodu, also wrote:

“Unbelievable, but who are we to challenge GOD… Rest in Peace my friend and Brother FEMI FOURSCORE OSIBONA…”

Femi Osibona was aide and cousin to Nigeria’s Vice President and APC chieftain, Professor Yemi Osibajo, who has since denied ownership of the collapsed building.
