Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10
first runner-up, Dede Ashiogwu, has distanced herself from suggestions that regional bias played a significant role in the outcome of the recently concluded TV reality show.
She dismissed the innuendoes on Tuesday, during the prize presentation ceremony held at MultiChoice office in Lagos.
The “Ten Over Ten” edition of BBNaija wrapped up on Sunday with Opeyemi Ayanwale, better known as Imisi walking away with N150 million grand prize after emerging as the winner.
Reacting to the decision, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, took to his official X account to allege that the show was manipulated.
He said, “Dede was robbed by BBNaija organizers because Delta boy Kellyrae won last year’s season, so they didn’t want another Delta to win this year’s edition. She truly deserved the Big Brother Naija crown, not the second position”

The media aide went on to threaten legal action against the organizers of the show.
Apart from this, many BBNaija fans alleged on various social media platforms that Imisi won due to massive support of her tribesmen, the Yorubas.
Responding to the claims, Dede debunked them, stressing that Imisi’s win was legitimate and well-earned.
“I don’t believe it had anything to do with the region. It’s simply about the votes, she got the highest number, and she won. She truly deserves it,” she stated.
The Delta-born reality star went on to reveal that she intends to pursue a career in acting.
Dede added, “Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen, that’s what I’m bringing.”
