Dr. Olapade Agoro, the national chairman of National Action Council (NAC), has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to de-register the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) within seven days for being involved in corrupt practices.

Agoro gave the advice in a letter to INEC in which he stated that the two parties were in real fact one, only disguising as tow.

Specifically, he said that the PDP should be scrapped following the recent revelation of Senator Ibrahim Mantu, the former Deputy Senate President, in which he said that he helped rig past elections for PDP and for its members featuring prominently in the Federal Government’s looters’ list.

For the APC, he said that the party should also be disbanded because almost all in its present leadership were formerly same people in the PDP who looted the treasury dry.

Agoro, who recently declared his interest to contest the 2019 presidential election, threatened to take legal action against INEC if it failed to de-register the two parties.

“It becomes pertinent to hereby give you seven days notice from the date of dispatch of this letter to you demanding that both the APC and PDP be de-registered and proscribed since both APC and PDP are dirty and corrupt, same one-party disguising as two.

“And as well to take into consideration Social Democratic Party (SDP) currently enmeshed in N100 million Dasuki Gate scandal; failing which I will without further notice cause legal action to be instituted against you jointly and severally,” he said.

He stressed that the call was in line with the provision of section 15, subsection( 5) of the amended constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which states that State shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power.
