Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of popular Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has caused a buzz online after hinting she might be changing their daughter’s surname soon.
The mother of one made this known on social media on Monday, June 5, when she revealed she is pondering changing Imade’s surname from Adeleke to Momudu.
In the series of now-viral posts she shared online, she also made it clear that she has been playing the role of father and mother to their daughter.
Taking to her Snapchat she wrote, “Can’t wait to change her last name… I still think Momodu is 👌 as I’m Mom and Dad.”
Also replying a follower who asked for more details on her post and claimed the consensus is that Davido is a responsible father, she said: “Lol our elders say the truth is bitter, I haven’t even started yet.”

However, during the conversation another fan backed her, suggesting Davido might have stopped being a good father and taking out his anger on their child, Imade, because he is upset that Sophia moved on after he got married.
Sharing her own experience, she wrote: “This person is right. This was my taught exactly. My baby daddy got married to someone else but wants to be sleeping with me, because I refuse he suddenly left the child for me.
“..and since you’re mom & dad I hope you walk tall & keep your head up in every room you walk into. God sees you. Speak your truth”.
Sophia had last month taken to her Twitter page to accuse Nigerian men of financially bullying women into staying with them against their wishes.
