Davido vows to keep delivering after Grammy loss, says ‘We dey game’

Davido prior to this, had congratulated South Africa’s Tyla for winning Grammy’s maiden edition of ‘Best African Music Performance’ category

Ace Nigerian Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has vowed not to give up despite missing out on several awards during the 66th Grammys on Sunday night.

The ‘Electricity’ crooner and three other Nigerian artistes were snubbed in the maiden edition of the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category, as South African singer, Tyla, clinched the award.

Davido also lost his nominations for the Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance categories.

After the event, fans of the singer, who were angered by the losses took to social media to accuse the Grammy organisers of bias.

However, addressing his followers via his X page, Davido reiterated his love for them, assuring them that he won’t give up as he emphasized that he “will continue to deliver.”

Speaking via his social media handle, he tweeted: “I just want you to feel alright.

“I love each and everyone of you !! We Dey game!! We will continue to deliver.”

Prior to this, the DMW boss had congratulated Tyla for winning Grammy’s maiden edition.of ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.

Taking to his X page page, Davido tweeted: “Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa ! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!.”
