Have you ever wondered why some relationships are more honest than others; and why some couples are more truthful with each other, while others like to deceive their partners? Truth be told, no one deserves to be lied too, but we have found out that women tell lies considerably and often. But some men do the same too.
The reason a woman lies in a relationship has been attributed to man having trust issue in the relationship. If the man is finding it difficult to trust his partner, the woman tries to resolve this by cooking up things that she feels will make him trust her. They also lie in order to make their partner feel better; as women are naturally endowed with a caring ability.
Here are some common lies told by women, and what each statement really means:
• You’re perfect, I love you just the way you are, and I wouldn’t change a thing about you: To be realistic, nobody is perfect. At the beginning of a relationship, women say this because they did not know you very well; but after some time, they will definitely find something that needs to be changed. So, if she tells you something like this, don›t be too enthusiastic because she finds you perfect just for a couple of days, and after that she will ask you to change.
• You’re right: Have you noticed that whenever you have an argument with her, she ends up saying “you are right?” This probably makes you feel proud of yourself and your ego is honoured. You have to know that this is just a lie from her side; her statement is only made in order to make you shut up, see that you are truly the one at fault, and later get you to apologise to her.
• Nothing is wrong and I’m fine: This is the most common lie women tell. When women are upset, acting strange and don’t want to talk, they tend to tell their spouses that nothing is wrong and that they are fine. Men do not take this as an answer; something is definitely wrong. This is a time you persuade her to talk to you, because this is absolutely what she wants. She needs all the attention she can get at this moment.
• I do love sports honey: Maybe she agrees to stay and watch with you every week at a football game, but this doesn’t really mean that she likes it. She accepts to do this just to show you that she is different from other girls and that you have common interest. Don’t get too used to this; be prepared for a day when she will turn you down.
• I like spending time with your friends: From the start of your relationship, this might be very okay with her. But as time goes on, she would like to spend more time alone with you and not with your friends. If she doesn’t verbally tell you she has had enough of spending time with your friends, her reaction to the idea will tell you her take on it. If she then decides to tell you, she will ask you to keep visits from your buddies at minimum and then she might keep pretending she loves them.
• Your family is so nice, and I like spending time with them: It might be true she likes spending time with them, but she might exaggerate the statement to you. The way she says it to you might give you the impression that she likes to spend time with them every day if possible; but that is not true. She probably means once a month or occasionally.
• Your bank account doesn’t matter: My dear, this is a big lie. All women want a guy that is financially stable and independent; a guy they can feel secure around; someone that can assure her a future with no financial problems.
• You are very good in bed: If she chooses to speak about this topic without you asking her, you don’t have to believe all she says. If she starts to compliment you about your sexual ‘prowess’, it doesn’t mean that she really believes that. Often, a woman who cares about a man tells him all that she knows he wants to hear, just to make him feel good about himself. So think about your woman, your relationship, your sexual experience and see if you really deserve compliments on this topic.
