The comic actor made this known while answering questions from fans after he hosted a Question and Answer session on his Instagram story.

Bovi during the Q&A addressed the perceived beef between him and fellow comedian, AY, when a curious fan wanted to know why he and AY don’t perform at each other’s show.

The father-of-three replied the fan saying it’s a norm among comedians citing the rivalry between American comedians, Chris Rock and Henry Hart.

He said, “Have you ever seen Chris Rock at a Henry Hart show?” Bovi said.

In addition to his beef with AY, the comedian also disclosed that he has been banned from entering the United States after clashing with a visa-issuing officer

He first alluded to the ban when a fan living in the US asked when he would be coming to perform in Massachusetts.

“I’m banned in the USA,” Bovi replied.

Another fan asked him if he intended to leave the country and he replied, “I am a citizen of the world. Except for Yankee where I’m banned.”

Clarifying why he has been unable to enter the United States, he said, “ Ill luck. Met a charity-like visa-issuing officer. Egos clashed. I was labelled.”

Meanwhile, the comic actor during another interactive session with his fan tagged ‘Ask me anything’ on social media asserted that stand-up comedy in Nigeria has gone south.

The 42-year-old, when asked by a fan if stand-up comedy had gotten better or worse in Nigeria, answered saying it’s now ‘worse’.

He, however, suggested that it would get better if efforts are aimed at organising comedies in ‘proper comedy clubs’
