Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca, has said the English Premier League (EPL) side are prepared to face either French champions, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) or La Liga giants, Real Madrid in the final of this year’s Club World Cup.

He made this known after the Blues eliminated Fluminense in Tuesday night’s semi-final.

Chelsea booked their place in the final of the competition with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fluminense.

Joao Pedro, who was given his first start by Maresca following a summer move from Brighton, opened the scoring against his boyhood club in the 18th minute after ex-Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva failed to clear Pedro Neto’s cross.

The Brazilian international then scored his brace in the 56th minute with a powerful shot which went in off the bar to seal the victory

He went on to note that while PSG coach, Luis Enrique has been with the French club for 2 years, his Real Madrid counterpart, Xabi Alonso, recently joined the Spanish outfit.

He told DAZN: “I like both teams, they played very good football.

“Luis Enrique had two seasons there, Xabi has just arrived but we can see how he wants to play.

“We will play a strong team, but we are proud to be already there.”
