The monthly Children Art Club, which takes place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has held another successful event for the month of March. Held on March 18, organisers of the children art engagement class said the initiative is moving forward with increase in participation.
It is a creative outlet where the kids come together every third Saturday of the month to express unhindered artistic talents and learn new skills.
Since children are our most precious resource, the organisers said, when we fail to recognise their talents, they recede and are diminished.
“We cannot allow their God-given talents to waste. With the right guidance and stimulating environment, the children can be helped to discover and harness their inner creative genius,” the organisers added.
It is this environment that they have provided with the Children Art Club held at the Cultural and Musical Heritage Centre, Olumo Rock, Ikija, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The next edition will take place at the same venue on April 18.
Free to participating children, they are also assured of free entrance to Olumo Rock and free art supplies for the artistic engagement. What is more, there is no fee paid for the quality of the creative instructions and art education the children receive.
The Children Art Club, which is endorsed by InSEA and powered by the Teaching Visual Art, is open to partner with other organisations to create an artistic engagement and resources to aid talent development for the Nigerian child.
