Online streamer and comedian Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has rejected comparisons with British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua. Instead, he chose to identify with former multi-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather after defeating the controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, aka Portable.

In a celebrity bout held in Ring 4 of the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, early on Saturday, all three judges ruled 27–30 in favour of Efe.

Responding to loud cheers from the crowd during his post-fight interview, the comedian said: “Who called me Anthony Joshua? My name is Carter Mayweather. I am feeling like an international world star.”

He went on to say his opponent was very easy to handle, adding that by the third round, the fight was already over.

He added: “The fight was so easy. By the first round, I had made his face swell up. By the second round, he was already shaking. In the third round, he fell.”

Speaking on his future following the victory, Efe stated he has ambitions to take his boxing career beyond Nigeria.

“I just believed in God. If you believe in God, anything can happen. I want to try this again in an international way. I know we are going to get there one day,” he said.

Asked whether he would grant Portable a rematch, Efe remained non-committal.

“I will think about it. Let me go and rest first,” he said.
