Nigerian content creator and streamer Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has reacted to threats issued by Babcock University to institute legal action against him for certificate forgery, seemingly mocking the institution.
Efe had earlier claimed during an interview with Egungun of Lagos that he obtained a first-class upper honours degree in Biochemistry from the school, and proceeded to share the alleged certificate online.
Reacting to this, the university refuted the claim and announced plans to pursue legal action against the popular streamer.

Taking to its official X handle, the university wrote: “The attention of Babcock University has been drawn to the circulation of fraudulent documents by certain individuals falsely claiming to have affiliations with, and possessing honorary certificates and academic distinctions purportedly issued by the University.
”One such document is a purported ‘Honorary Certificate’ allegedly issued by the Babcock University Biochemistry Computer Club to ODERHOHWO JOSEPH EFE for achieving a ‘First Class Upper’.”
It added: “We DO NOT issue such documents. ‘First Class Upper’ doesn’t exist here. Legal action underway.”
However, reacting to the threat during his latest live stream session, Carter Efe stated that he would only appear if the tertiary institution paid a ₦100,000 ticket fee to see him.
He said: “I heard that Babcock University is looking for me, you would not see me. You will pay N100,000 for a ticket before you could see me in Babcock and we are coming soon.”
