Buhari’s tenure escalated killings, kidnappings, and failed promises, Sani adds

Your tenure as President is the worst in Nigeria’s history as it escalated killings, kidnappings, and poverty across the land, Shehu Sani says in farewell to Muhammadu Buhari who will retire to his animal farm in Daura on May 29.
Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), also knocked Buhari’s scored, saying he has taken Nigeria back 100 years with divisive and monetised politics, among other ills.
Sani, former Senator representing Kaduna Central, noted Buhari also leaves behind N77 trillion national debt, 133 million Nigerians in multi-dimensional poverty, mass killings amid the President’s lie of having delivered on his promise of change.
Buhari insisted at the inauguration of a housing estate in Zuba, Abuja on Tuesday that his administration delivered “change” to Nigerians, per Daily Post.
He said the delivery is in affordable housing and the new housing estate also addressed multi-dimensional poverty among the populace.
Sani reacted in a tweet that “the President is living behind 77 trillion naira debt, 133 million poverty-stricken people, 25m people at the risk of hunger according to Unicef, 10m out of school children, mass killings and kidnappings on a daily basis; yet he said he has delivered on the change he promised.”

You have set Nigeria back 100 years, Galadima blasts Buhari
Galadima, a former ally of Buhari, took a swipe at presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina for claiming his principal would leave Nigeria better than he met it in 2015 in terms of security and the economy.
Adesina made the claim in a statement on Sunday, adding Buhari would not be leaving Nigeria the way he met it.
In reaction, Galadima prayed for God to visit Adesina with what the common people suffer daily in Nigeria, as reported by Daily Post.
“We wish that he (Buhari) could have kept the country (as he met it) on May 29, 2015. We could have clapped for him and escorted him to Daura or wherever he intends to live after leaving office,” Galadima said on Arise TV.
“The man has set Nigeria 100 years back, divided Nigeria across religious lines, along ethnic lines and crashed economic policies that have left the dollar which he met at N157/$1 and he’s now leaving it at N800/$1, that is if you see the dollar to buy.
“And insecurity was confined to the North East generally, except some dark spots that had happened in Abuja, Kano, and some few other places.
“Today, you cannot travel to any part of Nigeria with your eyes closed. You have to spend the night praying that God delivers you.
“If that’s the kind of Nigeria that Femi Adesina wants, then I pray to God to visit him with what the common people suffer daily in Nigeria.”
Politics messed up by religion and monetisation
Galadima also lamented Buhari would leave the polity messed up by religion and monetised politics.
“My only regret in this country is that Buhari has left Nigeria’s polity doubled by religious and monetisation issues,” he said, according to Daily Post.
“This is worse than rigging because you cannot go and win an election on the basis of the quality of service, on the basis of your credibility, on the basis of your public service, on the basis of what you have done.
“But it is only on the basis of money.”
