President Muhammadu Buhari is set to proclaim the first session of the 9th National Assembly on June 11, 2019.
He had indicated intention to do son in a letter he dated May 30, 2019, and tagged : Proclamation for the holding of the first session of the 9th National Assembly.

Buhari is empowered under Section 64(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As amended) to proclaim the first session of the assembly after president’s swearing in.
Buhari was sworn- in on May 29, 2019.
According to the letter, the proclamation takes place on Tuesday, June 11 at 10 am at the National Assembly complex, Abuja.
