Bring home AFCON trophy, Soludo tells resilient Super Eagles

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has congratulated the Super Eagles for defeating their South African counterparts, the Bafana Bafana, in the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Eagles won their opponents 4-2 on penalties after a one-all draw at full and extra time.

The governor was among the millions of Nigerians who stayed glued to their television sets to watch the pulsating match on Wednesday night.

The tension-soaked game, which went into extra time after both teams played out a one-all draw, saw the Super Eagles overcoming their eternal arch-rivals through a penalty shoot-out.

The Anambra governor, who was excited over the outcome of the match, described it as dramatic and scintillating.

The governor congratulated the team and urged them to go all out in the final to win the coveted trophy for the nation.

Soludo has consistently supported the Nigerian national team right from the onset of the AFCON tournament.
