Brighton hails Super Falcons goalkeeper,   Nnadozie after Ballon d’Or feat

Brighton noted that Nnadozie finished fourth in the women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category of the award.

English Women’s Super League (WSL) club, Brighton & Hove Albion have congratulated Super Falcons goalkeeper,
Chiamaka Nnadozie, after her remarkable feat at the just concluded  2025 Ballon d’Or award.

The Seagulls celebrated the Nigerian shot stopper on Monday night via a post on X after she finished fourth in the women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category.

The award was won by Chelsea, and England shot stopper, Hannah Hampton.

Ann-Katrin Berger, who plays her football with Gotham FC came second while Barça goalkeeper, Cata Coll emerged as the third best female goalkeeper. 

With the latest achievement, Nnadozie made history as the first African nay Nigerian to be nominated for the prestigious award.

While commending the Nigerian international for the feat, Brighton wrote, “@NadozieChiamaka is fourth in the #TrophéeYachine rankings at this year’s #BallonDor! Congratulations on your nomination, Chiamaka!”
