Brighton celebrate Nnadozie after earning Ballon d’Or nomination

Nnadozie who recently moved to Brighton, was recognised for her impressive performances for her former club, Paris FC.

Brighton & Hove Albion have congratulated Super Falcons goalkeeper,  Chiamaka Nnadozie, following her nomination for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Yachine Trophy.

The Seagulls hailed the brilliant  shot-stopper in a recent post shared on its X page.

Nnadozie, who moved from French club, Paris FC to Brighton & Hove Albion during the summer, was among the five goalkeepers nominated for the award by the organisers.

It’s the first time the goalkepper will be nominated for the individual accolade.

The 24-year-old was recognised for her impressive performances for her former club, Paris FC.

The Nigerian international played a pivotal role in Paris FC’s Coupe de France Féminine win in May.

She also contributed to the Super Falcons’ title win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco last month.

Reacting to her nomination, Brighton took to social media to say it was well deserved.

“Congratulations to #WAFCON24 winner @NadozieChiamaka with a well-deserved #BallonDor Yachine Trophy nomination!.” the English club wrote.
