The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Professor Charles Soludo of APGA as the winner of the Anambra 2021 governorship election.
The former governor of the CBN will take over from incumbent Willie Obiano as the next governor of Anambra state.
Soludo polled 112, 229 votes from the just concluded governorship election to defeat his closest rival Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 53, 102 votes.
Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came third with 43,327 votes.
Soludo’s votes increased after Tuesday’s supplementary election in Ihiala local government area where he won in all polling units and wards where election held.

The APGA candidate also defeated his contenders in 19 of the 21 local government areas in the southeast state.
According to INEC, the state has 2,246,638 registered voters, out of which 253,388 were accredited to vote.
