Self-acclaimed relationship expert and influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reacted to the death of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
The controversial social media personality joined other Nigerians in mourning the thespian’s demise on Tuesday, in a post shared via her official Instagram account.
Alexx Ekubo passed away on Tuesday in a Lagos hospital at the age of 40, following a protracted battle with liver cancer.
Announcing his death, fellow actor Godwin Nnadiekwe wrote: “I’m struggling to find the words. This news has truly broken me. Nollywood has lost a rare soul, and I’m lost for words because this wasn’t the plan, Alexx.”

He added: “To think you already prepared your will — it’s a heartbreak I can’t quite describe. Rest well, my friend.”
Reacting to his death, Blessing CEO—who appeared to be referencing her earlier stage 4 cancer claim—rebuked the disease.
Sharing Alexx’s picture on her verified handle, she captioned it: “God will punish cancer. We waited for you to show up. You fought silently. Rest in peace.”
In March 2026, Blessing CEO claimed she was battling stage 4 breast cancer and solicited financial help from the public for chemotherapy treatment.
However, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Delta State chapter, later questioned the medical report she shared to back her claim, describing it as a forgery.
