Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez has reacted to the House of Representatives’ directive for a total shutdown of pornographic websites nationwide.
The blue half of the federal legislature on Tuesday instructed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the telecoms regulator, to block access to all pornographic websites in the country.
The decision has since generated mixed reactions among Nigerians, while some supported the move and argued that it will promote morality, others opined the lawmakers went beyond their boundaries.

Reacting to the development via his X page, Blaqbonez suggested that the ban shows Nigerian politicians misplace priorities.
The singer went on to make reference to popular adult star, Destiny Mira, saying adult films such as hers “help” citizens through difficult times.
Speaking via his verified social media page, Blaqbonez tweeted, “This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her.”
