Biafra: Soldiers came to kill me, my family –Kanu

-

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, said in a live broadcast monitored in Owerri that the Nigerian army invaded his home with specific instructions to kill him and his family.
Kanu also averred that the plan to eliminate him was hatched because the case filed against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria had no substance as the government had no case against him.
Having been attending his court cases before his home was invaded, Kanu noted that his disappearance was forced on him and thanked his sureties.
Kanu also stated that IPOB stands with former Governor Ayo Fayose in his time of trial.
His words: “I want to send my solidarity to former Governor Ayo Fayose and assure him that Biafra will stand by him in this hour of need. We will have a special place for him in Biafra. I thank all my sureties that stood by me. My unavailability was forced on me.”
The IPOB leader also maintained that his followers will not participate in any election in 2019 as their avowed boycott of the 2019 elections would remain in force.
He stressed that IPOB will not shift its ground on referendum and election boycott.
He said: “There is no longer South East or South South Nigeria. It shall be known as Biafra. Without referendum nothing will happen in Nigeria. IPOB will not participate in any election and that position will never change.”
