Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed that he lost $4 million to a real estate scam.
The ‘Ashawo’ crooner made this known recently while lamenting the incident during an Instagram Live session.
Shmurda, who noted that the real estate fraud happened in Lagos, said he only realised he had been scammed after discovering that the house did not belong to the person who sold it to him.

The 30-year-old artist went on to reveal that he had contacted his lawyer to investigate, adding that the person who sold the property to him disappeared after the transaction.
Calling on Nigerians to help him recover his hard-earned money, Bella Shmurda said, “I’ve got nothing left.”
He added, “Nigeria, I need your help. I am not okay right now. I lost $4 million of my hard-earned money to buy stolen property.
“The seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I have just contacted my lawyer for further investigation.”
