Nigerian comedian and Nollywood actor, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has expressed dismay over the recent public brawl between social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, and fellow comedian, Freedom Atsepoyi, a.k.a Mr Jollof.

He reacted to the incident in a now-trending video he shared on his Instagram page.

VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof became sworn enemies after the former accused the latter’s wife of sleeping with politicians and “Yahoo boys” in order to help her husband secure a political appointment in Delta State.

Following the allegations, the couple filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against VeryDarkMan.

However, on Monday, the two celebrities were seen in a viral clip online exchanging blows inside a United Nigeria aircraft while on their way from Asaba to Lagos.

The duo were later arrested and detained by the Delta State Police Command.

Reacting to the fight, Basketmouth described the incident as a very “embarrassing” one.

Revisiting his long-time feud with another comedian, AY Makun, he noted that they never at any point exchanged blows.

He said, “It never got to the point that me and him go start to exchange punches.”

While urging the public to live in love and peace with one another, the comedian asked, “How did we get here?

“Like everybody else, I just saw the video of Mr Jollof and VDM fighting in a public space, not just any public place, but inside a plane. As plane tight reach, these grown men still find space dey fight. And I asked myself, how did we get here?

“Me and AY get issues for the long time, but it never got to the point that me and him go start to exchange punches. How embarrassing is this? Why can’t we just live in love and peace?”
