Afrobeats star and songwriter, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has denied a report that she is not allowed to have a boyfriend or walk down the aisle during the duration of her contract with record label, ‘Roc Nation’.
She refuted the claim on X while reacting to an assertion that a clause in her contract with Roc Nation barred her from having a boyfriend or starting a family.
Several media outlets had earlier reported that Ayra Starr recently signed a five-year management deal with Roc Nation, which is owned by American music executive, Sean Carter, aka Jay-Z.

Following the announcement, there were speculations in some sections of the media that a clause in the contract barred the ‘Overloading’ crooner from having a boyfriend or starting a family while the contract lasted.
“Ayra Starr isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend or start a family during her five years contract with Roc Nation,” a podcaster claimed in a video making the rounds on X.
Reacting to the trending clip, Ayra Starr wrote, “Does Ayra Starr know about this?”
The 23-year-old singer in a follow-up post added, “Them lie on top your head for broad daylight,”
