US-based Australian rapper and songwriter, Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known as Iggy Azalea, has revealed that Nigerian singer, Anthony Ebuka Victor, aka Victony is her favourite artist.
The 35-year-old made this known during a recent livestream with popular streamer, N3on.
According to her, she stumbled on the Afrobeats singer while listening to another artist he collaborated with on Apple and instantly fell in love with his music.
It all began when internet personality, N3on asked, “What’s your go-to artist right now to listen to?”

Responding, Iggy Azalea said, “I like Victony. He’s an Afrobeats artist. He’s on fire. I found him on Apple Music while listening to a collaboration he did with another artist, and I fell in love with his sound.
“Now, he is one of my soundtracks in the shower.”
The ‘Black Widow’ crooner is not the first foreign artist to name a Nigerian singer as her favorite.
A few years ago, multiple Grammy-winning American singer Billie Eilish surprised her fans after she named Tekno as her favourite artist during an interview.
Similarly, Colombian star, Shakira revealed a few months ago that Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy is one of her favourite artists.
