Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to the 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that Nigerians are already joining the coalition being put together by his boss to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He made the assertion recently during an interview with Vanguard.
Speaking during the chat, Ibe said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is already fidgeting over the alignment of key opposition figures in the coalition.
While acknowledging that members of opposition parties are defecting to APC, he expressed optimism that the coalition, which according to him, represents a formidable platform will sack the ruling party in 2027.

He said, “They’re scared because they know the coalition represents a formidable platform that could remove this administration.
“Even if some leaders defect to their political party, the reality is that Nigerians are defecting to the coalition. It embodies their aspiration, a platform to end this failed government.”
The former Vice President’s media aide added that once everything about the coalition is finalised and the dotted lines are signed, “Nigerians will eagerly board this train”.
He went on to predict that these defections will be “far more overwhelming than what’s happening with the APC.”
