Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has applauded Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey better known as Hilda Baci, following her latest global recognition by Guinness World Records (GWR).
He congratulated the celebrity chef on Tuesday in a post he shared on his official X page.
TheNiche had earlier reported that Baci completed her attempt to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice on Saturday.
Two days later, she was officially certified by GWR for preparing a dish weighing 8,780 kilograms, during a record-breaking cookout held in Eko hotel, Lagos.

Reacting to the recognition, Atiku commended both Hilda, who was celebrated in 2023 for the longest cooking marathon, and her partners.
The former Vice President added that the feat is another reminder that Nigerians can break records, set standards, and inspire the world.
Speaking via his verified social media account, he wrote, “Congratulations to Hilda Baci and Gino for setting a new world record with the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. It is yet another reminder that our people can break records, set standards, and inspire the world.”
Atiku further praised Nigerians worldwide, noting that their achievements in diverse fields continue to position the country as a hub of talent and innovation.
