ASKY increased flight frequencies from its hub in Lome to most destinations, including 10 weekly flights to Abidjan, nine weekly flights to Libreville, and daily flights to Accra, Lagos, Niamey, Bamako, Dakar, Conakry, Ouagadougou, Cotonou, and Douala.

ASKY began operations in 2010 and flies to 22 cities in 19 countries with a fleet of seven aircraft averaging five years of age.

The airline, which has an on-time performance of 90 per cent, was named 2014 African Company of the Year by Africa CEO Forum.

It was also recognised as the 2014 Best Short Haul Carrier (West Africa) and Best Short Haul Airline (Africa) by Africa Travel Awards.

Last month, ASKY bagged the Tourism Airline Brand of The Year Award at the 2015 edition of Miss Tourism World beauty pageant in Lagos.

The airline’s other attractions this summer include discount on fares between Pointe-Noire and Libreville and Brazzaville and Libreville, baggage allowance on selected destinations, and 10 per cent discount on online ticket purchases through www.flyasky.com.

Teferra, former Ethiopian Airlines Vice President for Corporate Strategy Communications and Alliances, replaced Yissehak Zewoldi as the CEO of ASKY in May this year.

He is a top airline executive with solid experience and diplomatic skills, which enabled him to oversee the development and implementation of the business strategy that has made Ethiopian Airlines the largest African carrier and with the highest growth rate on the continent.
