Arteta also sang the praise of Fabio Vieira, saying the Portuguese midfielder was a ‘real threat’ to Bodo/Glimt

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has pointed out that Portuguese midfielder, Fabio Vieira must add defensive play to his attacking threat when playing for the club.
Arteta made the comment after the Premier League leaders beat visiting Bodo/Glimt 3-0 in Thursday’s Europa League fixture at the Emirate.
According to the Spanish tactician, Fabio Viera, who he signed in the summer needs to improve his defensive display.
The 21-year-old Portugal midfielder has impressed in the Gunners shirt since his £34million move from Porto.

He scored in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brentford last month. He also netted and provided an assist for Rob Holding last night as Arsenal beat Bodo/Glimt by the same scoreline.
Arteta sang the praise of the midfielder, saying he was a ‘real threat’ to the away side. He, however, noted that he needed to ‘do more’ for the team from a defensive standpoint.
When asked if Arsenal fans should be excited by Vieira, Arteta said: “Yes, you saw the quality. Every time he’s around the box, he’s a real threat, a really intelligent player and brave.
“In defending, he still needs to do more and understand it more because organisation is key when you play against good teams in ball possession.”
