Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has claimed his side wouldn’t have left Anfield empty handed had his new signing, Eberechi Eze taken his opportunity.
He made this known while speaking to Sky Sports after Gunners’ 1-0 defeat to the Reds in a Premier League game played at the Anfield on Sunday.
An outrageous freekick fired in by Dominik Szoboszlai from over 30 yards, earned the league champions all three points.
Eze, who joined Arsenal from London rivals, Crystal Palace was introduced in the second half of the encounter.
The England international came on to replace Gabriel Martinelli on 70 minutes.
He had an opportunity to score almost immediately but missed the opportunity due to his indecision.

Speaking after the game, a visibly angry Arteta blamed Eze for not taking a golden opportunity he had to equalise for his team.
He also identified the miss as one of the high points of the game.
Arteta said, “You have to put the ball in the back of the net.
“Today we have three, four, five situations inside the box one-vs-one.
“Eze is completely through just to finish the action. You have to put the ball in the net if you want to win.”
The defeat was Arsenal’s first of the new season with the Gunners having won their last two games.
Liverpool on the other hand, went two points clear at the top of the league table after maintaining a hundred per cent start to the season.
