Arteta confirms Saka ‘ll miss Arsenal’s EPL clash against Liverpool

Arteta further added that Belgian striker, Leandro Trossard is also a doubt for the top-of-the-table encounter .

Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta has revealed that his team will be without several players when they play Liverpool in Sunday’s English Premier League (EPL) fixture at Anfield.

He made this known while speaking to reported ahead of the  eagerly anticipated encounter.

According to him, English winger,  Bukayo Saka, German forward, Kai Havertz and Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus are all injured.

He went on to disclose that Leandro Trossard is also a doubt for the top-of-the-table clash.

Arteta said, “We haven’t got Gabriel Jesus, we haven’t got Kai Havertz and we don’t have Bukayo.

“That is our reality and Leandro Trossard too, probably.”

Also, Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard is facing a late fitness test, while Christian Norgaard and Ben White are also fitness doubts.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility that Arteta could go with an attack made up of summer arrivals, if Eberechi Eze is picked alongside Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke in the starting XI.
